Spanish porcelain maker LLadro is producing a line of miniature buildings called 'Metropolis.' Collector Joe K. sent me this tip. The manufacturer enhanced the architecture with a lace design, which confused me until I realized they are intended to be displayed on a woman’s vanity as a miniature skyline. The decorative objects are also functional as vases, boxes, mirrors and lamps. Any shape can be ordered in white, black or pastel colors and prices range from $225 to $600 each. The glowing lamp seems the most interesting.
