Buildings and Coin Banks Exhibited at Orlando Library

SBCS Member Marty G. recently opened an exhibit of his souvenir buildings and coin banks at the Orange County Public Library in Orlando, Florida. Over 200 pieces are on display and Marty writes, “There are four display cabinets with three dedicated to souvenir buildings and banks.  One cabinet has all ceramic coin banks with the bottom self with pottery building banks and a few plastic souvenir buildings. I had some posters made of some buildings and banks that are also on display. The collection will be display for two months and the library hopes to draw traffic from local residents with diverse interest in art, history, antiques, and books. My goal is to promote our club and expand our SBCS membership.” The display is entitled, “Souvenir Buildings & Banks,” Souvenir Building Collectors Society and Still Bank Collectors Club of America Explore a collection of miniature buildings and monuments as well as pottery and ceramic banks. Both collections feature items from around the world and vary from newly made to some as old as 150 years.”
