Rebuilding on the Twin Towers Site

Hard to believe that it’s been ten years since that crisp fall morning was shattered. Not just buildings, but lives and our sense of security were shattered. As we remember and reflect on the events of 9/11/01, changes are happening at ground zero. Rebuilding of the WTC site is a tale of power, politics and rebirth. A fascinating magazine story explains what it took to get the many projects and memorial built. The 9/11 Memorial is taking shape. I’ve written about the WTC souvenirs before and some souvenirs have been made since the destruction of the Twin Towers. Miniatures of firefighters raising a flag, steel beams in the shape of a cross and exterior walls that remained after the collapse have also been made.
